Learning all together!

On Saturday (18 February) U.S.B. organized a seminar on the topic:  “Integrated campaign – social issues and new media”. Our office was full with young and motivated people to work.

We showed them how to make radio shows, artistic photography and short movies. Part of the topics was connected with young people, social issues, LGBT rights. During the day the participants were divided into different groups and worked together to create their media products. At the end of the day we all enjoyed their beautiful photos, interesting radio show with interviews with different people and a short movie on LGBT issues called “The hidden love” – u can see it here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Y8DdoObNT0&feature=related )

 

Seminar in Thessaloniki’s Mayor Headquarters

On 15th of February to 16th of February there was a seminar ENSA-Y
Thessaloniki ENSA FOR YOUTH,  participants from the United Societies
of Balkans office were Aydan, Llogari, Burak, Sezgi, Olympia and
Liisi.

Seminar took place in City Town hall.  Seminar was named: “Active Participation of Young People at Local level – Social Inclusion of disadvantaged groups”

The speakers were Mrs. Maria Paschalidou, Deputy Mayor for Youth, who
spoke about sports & volunteers and she is a representative of the NGO
“Eurodyssea” and also a representative from UNESCO YOUTH CLUB of
THESSALONIKI. Also we followed the topic “Participation of young
people in the programming of various actions for the nature by speaker
frome the NGO “Hellenic Environmental and Cultural Society” and
secondly we followed the topic “Development of the relationship
between young people and nature in the urban environment”, which was
opened by representative of the NGO “Hellenic Ornithological Society”,
NGO PRAXIS, which shared its way to teach street children by using
mobile school, and last it was a representative of NGO “Sxedia stin
poli”. In the evening everybody could have dinner in complete
darkness, guided by blind people and in the following day participants
made study visits to the “SOS Children Village”, at the premises of
the “Vaphopoulio” Cultural Centre and at the premises of the YMCA
Thessaloniki, in order for the partners to study the infrastructures
related to young people and their activities.
